A wholly owned Australian company engaged
in the national distribution of some of the
world’s finest hi-fi products
Jason Pugh was appointed to run Epoz in Australia two months before the company was
launched.
He has a long history in the Australian audio industry. In a sense he was born into
it with both his parents actively involved in the industry from the time he first
saw the light of day! After leaving school he worked for many years with Architectural
Audio Design. His time with that company enabled him to gain valuable experience
in every facet of the business, from warehousing and stock control, through to the
day to day routine of office work, including debtor and creditor control, and ultimately
customer service and sales management.
He had time away from the industry for 4 to 5 years but took up his managing role
at Epoz in August 2005 with renewed vigour. In the ensuing years, he has enjoyed
renewing acquaintances with many people in the industry.
When he's not working he is an avid sports fan (these days watching rather than participating).
Living in Sydney, he remains unquestionably one of the most staunch Wests Tigers fans, although
it would be fair to say that he enjoys a wide variety of sports.
Jason is a happy family man and without doubt his greatest pride and joy are his wife and two
gorgeous daughters.
Jacki has been in the audio industry virtually all of her working life.
Following many years at Concept Audio (the initial importer for Creek & Epos), she
established a new company importing and distributing products to the emerging custom
audio market. That in turn led her to establish her next company based around lighting
control systems and their integration with home entertainment.
It was in 2001 that she packed her bags and headed to the U.K. to fulfil a lifetime
desire to spend some time living there. Realising it was somewhat better than she
expected, but impossible to survive without an income, she found herself a job. As
luck would have it, that job was to look after the international sales and marketing
for Creek & Epos!
But Australia always beckoned and the opportunity to once more become involved in Australian
distribution of audio products was too good an opportunity to pass up. It provided her with the best
of both worlds.
Returning to live in Australia at the end of 2010, Jacki is now more actively involved in the company
taking on the role of future development of the AktiMate brand and the growth of its international
markets. She continues in her international role with Creek and Epos, simply working from an
Australian location rather than being London based.

Charlie (real name Kerry but always known as Charlie) has been
working in the background since Epoz first saw the light of day. Being
married to Jason has meant she has always shared the highs and
lows, and she was constantly the company's point of contact in the early
days when he was away from the office.
With two daughters under 8, she rarely has a moment's peace but she
would be the first to tell you that the hectic pace is well worth
every minute. Her interests mirror some of Jason's - but definitely not
all - although her conversion to that of staunch rugby fan means
that she fully understands his need to watch every major game,
irrespective of the time of the broadcast!
Which means it is only fair that she takes control of the remote on other occasions.......
Charlie continues to be an invaluable addition to the company and when the occasion demands will
always be in the office at the drop of a hat to help out.
Barry recently emigrated from the U.K. with his wife and young son
and settled with great ease into life in Sydney - but then again how hard
could it be coming out of one of the U.K.’s coldest winters in a long time
into the Sydney summertime!
Barry spent the last three years before coming to Australia, working
with Creek Audio and Epos. When the time came for us to take on a
Sales Manager, who could be better suited to the job than Barry.
His knowledge and respect for the Creek and Epos brands is extensive.
Couple that with his love of the AktiMate (he has owned a pair since
2008) and we could not be more delighted to welcome him to the
company. We should add that it helps that he is a great salesman!
Barry’s other great passion (apart from his family) is bikes. He has found himself one that he loves to
ride and in buying it, has become part of a great group who go riding regularly together. It has given
him a fabulous opportunity to see parts of Sydney which he may never have otherwise been able
to do so soon. With his son well settled into his Sydney kindergarten and his wife with a job she
loves, Barry is really happy that they made the decision to emigrate.
Santo Prattico was Creek Audio’s chief design engineer for
the past seven years. In addition to all the work he has done for the
company over the years with Creek’s exceptional electronics, he was
also involved in advising the AktiMate manufacturing company in
regard to the amplification in both the Mini and Maxi when
time permitted
Santo took the decision recently to move to live in China on a
permanent basis. In doing that it has meant that whilst still working
closely with Mike Creek on the development of his products,
he will also be taking on additional consultancy work.
Here at Epoz we put our hands up very quickly as soon as we knew
he would be available to work directly with us. We have therefore
come to a separate consultancy agreement with Santo, whereby he
will act as our Consulting Engineer for AktiMate.
This is a very positive step forward for Epoz as we have some very definite and exciting plans for new
AktiMate products during 2011.
Developing and manufacturing products in China, it is incredibly
important to have a direct association with a Chinese company able
to act on your behalf in a number of roles.
ShenZhen B-river International Trading Co. Ltd is just such a company.
Epoz has contracted this company to assist in numerous ways. First
and foremost, David Cheung the CEO of the company acts as our
interpreter whenever anyone from the company visits China. He also
helps us in our discussions with the AktiMate manufacturing company
when we speak with their engineers about our planned improvements to
the products. Should we ever need to source new parts, it would be
impossible without David’s help. His background is in the speaker
manufacturing industry, so his knowledge is invaluable.
Perhaps most important of all, David’s company now provides us with a 100% quality control
inspection service will will ensure that each and every AktiMate product leaving the factory is 100%
perfect.
Good service is paramount to the success of any company and in
electing to use Ross Messina’s Classic Audio, we believe we have
made the perfect choice.
Ross is familiar with AktiMate, Creek and Epos products and has
worked with us from the day Epoz was established. His knowledge is
exemplary and his care and attention to detail with any products which
pass through his company could not be better.
We recommend that any service work required on any products be
directed to Classic Audio in Lane Cove NSW. Any warranty work must
be referred to Epoz in the first instance and we will arrange for service
through Ross.
For other service required, whether it be for our products or indeed any
other brand, we would always recommend that you make direct contact
with Ross. All contact details are on his website www.classicaudio.com.au
